Barbra Streisand complained to the CEO of Apple because Siri couldn’t pronounce her name

Do you correct someone if they mispronounce your name?

Barbra Streisand does and will even if it’s Siri, Apple’s digital assistant.

In an interview with the BBC, Streisand, 81, shared how Siri continuously mispronounced her last name, and she had had enough.

“My name isn’t spelled with a ‘Z’,” she said. “It’s Strei-sand, like sand on the beach. How simple can you get?”

So what did the actress and singer do? She contacted Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, of course!

“And Tim Cook was so lovely. He had Siri change the pronunciation… I guess that’s one perk of fame!”

Go ahead, try it out and see if Siri gets the legend’s last name correct.

Hey Siri, who did Katharine Hepburn tie with when she won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1969?

Bar-bra Strei-sand.

Only someone like Barbra would contact Tim Cook and have them change the way Siri pronounces their name.
