Barron Trump is Melania’s ‘wingman’ in public, says expert

Barron Trump has been shielded from the media and the public eye almost his entire life. The 19-year-old, Donald Trump’s youngest son, moved into the White House during his father’s first presidential term. As he has enrolled at New York University, he is seen increasingly more in public. His mother, Melania Trump, has always protected her son. But now, a body language expert claims it is the other way around.

Barron Trump’s upbringing was far from normal. From growing up in Trump Tower, where his mother, Melania, encouraged him to write on the walls on the entire floor that belonged to him, at age 11, he moved into the White House. He became the first kid to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue since John F. Kennedy Jr.

Some might have thought Barron would be seen plenty as he moved into the White House. Sure, he and his parents walked to and from the helicopter on the White House grounds, which was caught by cameras, but other than that, the youngster was pretty much never seen.

Throughout their time in the White House, Melania Trump wanted to protect her son from scrutiny, especially since being the president’s son can be demanding. In early 2017, the White House called for the media’s cooperation, asking them to give Barron Trump privacy.

“It is a longstanding tradition that the children of Presidents are afforded the opportunity to grow up outside of the political spotlight. The White House fully expects this tradition to continue. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter,” the White House said.

Being the son of the president means having your every move tracked. That’s why Melania Trump did not let Barron issue his statements. Instead, all communication went through Melania and her office of communications.

In later years, several reports have claimed that Melania is putting her energy into shielding her son from the public and any media scrutiny. However, that also appeals to his father, Donald Trump.

In September 2023, Donald posted a meme picture on Truth Social featuring a photoshopped image of Barron Trump standing at a podium. The words read, “In an effort to level the playing field, Barron Trump will debate Joe Biden!”

“No Contest!!!” Donald Trump added. However, this did not go well with Melania, who became very angry with her husband. A source told RadarOnline, “Melania has been incredibly protective of Barron and has told Donald she would not stand for him to be exploited by anyone, even his father! He made a promise to protect their son — and he broke it. There’s a good chance she won’t forgive him, and the next time we see them together may be in divorce court.”

Barron Trump and his family left the White House in 2021 and settled at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. After graduating from high school in May last year, he enrolled at Stern Business School at New York University last fall.

His first time at NYU appears to have gone smoothly. Since leaving the White House, he has benefited from Secret Service protection, which the 19-year-old has continued to receive at NYU.

Due to his studies, Barron will not live at the White House as he did during his father’s last presidential term. He will continue living at Trump Tower, and as his mother has previously stated, she will try to be at his side as much as possible when not having duties as First Lady in Washington.

“Melania feels it’s better to be around him as much as possible”

Several sources tell People Magazine that Melania “will do everything she can” to support Barron’s well-being and ensure his good grades. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old will not get the “full college experience” by living in a dorm.

“Living in a dorm in a college town isn’t in the stars for him at this point,” a source told People. “Barron already has his own political ideas. It all needs to be monitored in light of the situation.”

Another source told the news outlet that living at home is Barron’s best option now.

“Whether or not others think he is capable of being on his own, Melania feels it’s better to be around him as much as possible,” that source said. “I see that continuing.”

Melania’s reason for being close to Barron does not only involve supporting him in his early days at NYU. Two other sources told People Magazine that his father’s return to the White House has played a part.

“Melania worries about the hate in the country and how it falls on her son, who is innocent of any of this,” the source said. “She is and has been a good sounding board for him. They talk about life as it is and how they are in the spotlight. She tries to normalize his life. If that is even possible.”

“Any child in the world spotlight like this would be lucky to have a parent so willing to give her time to help keep his life running smoothly,” a Palm Beach source told the outlet.

Barron Trump ‘grown into’ new role in public, body language expert says

Another unnamed source stated, “She wants to encourage him to make friends, be super careful of the haters, which can be anywhere — especially on college campuses these days — and keep him mentally healthy by having open communication with him and the rest of her immediate family.”

Barron Trump has been seen in public frequently in recent months. He appeared alongside his father on Election Night and was even introduced to a round of applause during Donald’s victory speech in Washington on Inauguration Day. While he is attending college and has been photographed by paparazzi, little is known about how he is doing at school.

Melania Trump has made it her life mission to defend and support her son, and as a parent, who wouldn’t? But as Barron grew up, the roles changed. might have become the opposite. At least that is what body language expert Judi James tells The Irish Star.

As Barron Trump has grown up, his relationship with his mother has evolved. Judi James explains that Barron has shown great confidence and that Melania is as “proud as ever” of him.

“It’s fascinating to see that now Barron has ‘unfurled’ or grown into his own tall frame and learnt to project confidence and even to begin to showboat a little in the spotlight like his father,” James said. “He seems to have adopted the body language role of his mother’s ‘wingman’, creating a watchful and more sociable presence at public events.”

“Barron seems to have inherited his mothers elegance”

The body language expert continued, “Melania appears as proud as ever with her son, who is the companion in public that Trump himself can’t always be when he is centre stage. Melania and Barron are beginning to look like a well choreographed double act, with increasing signs of natural symmetry, especially as Barron seems to have inherited his mothers elegance and possibly some of her visual charm.”

Barron Trump appears to show a different amount of confidence, which body language expert Judi James noticed at his father’s inauguration. The then 18-year-old was praised for how he handled himself around the Washington elite, including former president Joe Biden.

Speaking with the Daily Mail then, James explained that Barron “very confidently” and “charmingly” bent to shake hands with Biden.

“And although Biden’s face seems to fall as though Barron has passed on some kind of sinister threat or message, the truth was less dramatic as Barron seemed to be leaning to greet Kamala and Biden’s face was registering the fact that he’d finished his greeting ritual with Trump’s son,” James said.

She added that Barron’s humor and so-called “super-confidence” have led people to misread what Donald’s son really could’ve said to Biden.

“When he was introduced by his father, he stood like a rock star acknowledging the cheers and chants of his name and even cupped his ear to increase them. Which is probably why people might assume (wrongly I’d say) that he’s possibly making barbed comments on his way out here,” James continued.

Barron Trump was praised for Inauguration Day performance

Moreover, James explained that Barron was “working as a sweeper” during the inauguration, a role he frequently takes on when appearing with his father at any event.

“This means he tends to arrive and leave behind his parents, but instead of just walking off behind them as he did when he was younger, he spends time shaking hands and offering gracious-looking words,” James continued, concluding by saying that “defines” Barron’s presence and status without having to compete with his father.

Of course, Barron Trump has never had any issues concerning money or where his next meal might come from. According to Bloomberg, per Fortune, Donald had a net worth of approximately $4.8 billion in mid-March.

Though pictures denote that Barron doesn’t seem like someone who cares too much about high-fashion brands or wearing expensive suits daily, he can also wear jaw-droppingly costly items.

According to the New York Post, Barron was recently spotted arriving at Trump Tower in late March wearing a Rolex, and not any model. The newspaper claimed Barron wore a gold Daytona model of the luxurious watch brand, which can cost about $50,000. Whether it was a birthday present for his 19th birthday is unclear. However, considering that he has taken on an essential role within his family, we can at least guess it was quite the sign of appreciation, perhaps from his loving mother.
