Renowned actress Brigitte Bardot is furious. Some days ago, a report claimed that the 91-year-old actress had died. Now, she hits back with full force.
On October 16, the French newspaper Var-Matin published an article stating that actress Brigette Bardot had been hospitalized in Toulon, France, for almost three weeks. The outlet cited an influencer named Aqababe, who said he had “exclusive information about Bardot being dead.
Per the Daily Mail, Aqababe said, in a now-deleted post, “Her coffin was ordered in Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat in the 09 (Ariège) department. An icon has passed away, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy and an eternal imprint on the hearts of the French.”
Almost a week after the initial article was posted, Brigette Bardot replied with happy news. In a post written in French on X, she raged, “I don’t know who is the idiot who started this ‘fake news’ about my disappearance, but know that I am doing well and I have no plan on taking my bow. A word to the wise.”
Brigitte Bardot denies claims that she has died
That she had been to the hospital, however, was true. On October 17, Bardot’s office told the French news agency AFP, via Reuters, that the actress had undergone “minor surgery” that was successful.
Influencer Aqababe deleted his original claim. However, he stands by it, claiming that Bardot isn’t the one running her X account.
Following Bardot’s response, Aqababe stood by their original statement, claiming that it is not Bardot who runs her X account.
“I deleted my exclusive tweet about Brigitte Bardot’s death. It’s not her who manages her Twitter, you’ll see when the AFP officially announces the death,” Aqababe’s post, written in French, stated.
