Before her death, Diane Keaton revealed the truth about plastic surgery rumors

Diane Keaton went her own way in life. She adopted two children in her 50s, and while she was an actress, she had many projects going simultaneously. Meanwhile, as for many actors and actresses, rumors about possible plastic surgery are always of interest. So did Diane Keaton ever go under the knife? Some years ago, she opened up about similar procedures and revealed why she never went through with any.

Diane Keaton spent her last months alive outside of the spotlight with her family. A friend of hers mentioned that she lost a lot of weight in recent months, but only a few knew that things weren’t looking good.

The Academy Award-winning actress has had health issues in the past, including bulimia and cancer, but as of today, the cause of death is not public knowledge.

Aging is a part of life, and while it happens to everyone, there are those who try to do things to at least make it seem like it’s not a natural occurrence. For Diane Keaton, it wasn’t hard to accept that she got older, although it took a while to accept that her body was changing.

“It took me a while to fall in love with the female form. When I was young, I was more taken with the Twiggys of the world, women who were boyish. Now I have a daughter who is shapely, and I think that has helped change my view,” Keaton told Allure in 2014.

“When I was young, I wanted my appearance to be more interesting than what surrounded me. Now the body part I like best is my eyes, because they bring beauty to me.”

Diane Keaton opened up on plastic surgery rumors

Eyes are natural, and natural is the look Diane Keaton has always chosen. Many actresses have undergone different kinds of plastic surgeries or procedures, and as Diane is a world superstar, of course, she has also been surrounded by rumors about her possibly going under the knife.

So has she? In the Allyre interview from 2014, Diane Keaton said she never had plastic surgery – but was open to the possibility of undergoing some procedure.

“Though at this point, it’s a little hard to imagine. My mother never did anything to her face. And then, too, I look at my contemporaries. I see the very good work. I see the very bad work. I just don’t know if I want to mess with that. But, boy, I’m glad there’s such a thing as great lighting in movies and a little refreshing in photos,” she said. “The point is, no matter what you do, you’re going to get older, and you won’t be here forever. So how do you grapple with it? How do you feel good about yourself?”

Speaking to People in 2017, Diane Keaton once again spoke about plastic surgery, saying she “never felt pressured” to undergo any. But, she said, “I had my teeth capped. They were rotten because of the bulimia [I had in my 20s]. That’s the best thing about my face — my teeth have gotten better.”

Rest in peace, Diane Keaton. Please share his article on Facebook to honor the great actress.
