Last month, Justin Bieber was spotted in New York and his appearance caused concern among his fans. Fans were expressing concerns about the singer’s mental health at the time. However, his camp completely denied all allegations about drug use and said they were, ‘absolutely not true.’
The representative for Bieber who issued the statement went on to add that Bieber was actually, ‘in one of the best places in his life.’
However, this week the singer took to Instagram and posted a story which concerned a lot of fans. He reflected how he has ‘always felt unworthy.’
Bieber wrote in the post, “People told me my whole life ‘wow Justin u deserve that’ and I personally have always felt unworthy, like I was a fraud.”Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky like, damn if they only knew my thoughts.”
The 31-year-old new father wrote further, “How judgemental I am, how selfish I really am, they wouldn’t be saying this.
“I say all this to say, if you feel sneaky welcome to the club,” he wrote.
“I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days,” the singer added.
In the background of the story he added the song ‘Sneaky Sneaky’ by Gold-Tiger. This post comes just days after Bieber posted about the ‘gift of life.’
He wrote in the post before this, “We have nothing to prove today. Just the gift of life to accept and receive. Nothing is owed to us and we don’t owe anyone anything.”
In another post earlier last month he wrote that it was ‘time to grow up.’
The representatives for Bieber said that he had a ‘very transformative’ year, and had during the time severed ties with a lot of close friends and business relationships, which, ‘no longer serve him.’
The representative went on to explain that Bieber was busy making new music and being a father, and that the rumors about his mental health were baseless.
“[D]espite the obvious truth,” the rep said, “people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
Bieber has in the past been open and honest about his health, telling his fans in 2020, when he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
In 2023, he was forced to cancel the last leg of his world tour because of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, for which he had been diagnosed in 2022.
He has also been upfront about his previous drug use and addiction, sharing that he had turned to substances early into his career.
