Kelly Osbourne discusses her choices to not breastfeed and stay on her medication when her unborn child is born

Ozzy Osbourne was a true rock ‘n’ roll star as a member of the band Black Sabbath. His family, later on, became known to the world through being on the TV show The Osbournes.

Ozzy’s daughter Kelly Osbourne – who also appeared on the show – began her career while the show was filmed, and today, she is a star in her own right.

Over the last few years, Kelly Osbourne has changed her lifestyle, working out and eating healthier. More recently, she has also received attention for her outspoken views on motherhood and breastfeeding.

As a teenager, Kelly became famous to the world, starring in her family’s own show The Osbournes. All of a sudden, she was one of the most well-known 16-year-olds in the world.

When she became older, Kelly decided to enter the fashion industry, but her new career was overshadowed by alcohol and substance abuse.

“What bugs me the most is that people think I was a party girl and I went around having a great time,” Kelly said. “I did drugs because I hated myself and I was miserable, and I didn’t want to think about it anymore.”

But these days, Kelly Osbourne’s been sober for three years. It was the start of her new, healthier life. The reality TV star has taken to Instagram to show her followers her new look, and she sure looks amazing.

As for today, Kelly, 37, is expecting her first baby with her boyfriend Sid Wilson. Recently, she appeared recently on Red Table Talk next to fellow star Hayden Panettiere.

While there, Osbourne discussed her pregnancy as well as her decision not to breastfeed. She explained:

“I have chosen to stay on my medication instead of breastfeeding and the judgment that I have received from my friends and also extended family [is wild].”

She continued by pointing out how many people told her she would be missing vital bonding time with her child. She said:

“I’m like, ‘Don’t you think I know that?'”

Ultimately, however, Osbourne has decided that she cannot let the opinions of others dictate her own life. Instead, she said, “it has to be what’s best for me, what’s gonna be the best for my baby.”

She discussed her overall pregnancy experience, calling her pregnancy “one of the roughest, most weirdest, wildest” experiences she has ever had.

Kelly and her boyfriend Sid Wilson, 45, announced the pregnancy last May. It will be their first child together.

As I see it, there could be many reasons why a woman doesn’t breastfeed.

Sometimes it’s a medical reason and sometimes it is maybe they just don’t want to. It’s a personal choice. Or what do you think?
