Kim Kardashian breaks the internet with North West Halloween costume – but one heartbreaking detail has fans talking

Kim Kardashian has shared her first Halloween costume of the year, and she’s dressed as her eldest daughter, North West.

Kim Kardashian, 46, revealed her first Halloween costume of the year, North West, on Tuesday on Instagram and TikTok, with the simple caption “Halloween 2026.”

She was dressed as the 13-year-old to the T, sporting North’s signature electric blue hair, long chrome nails, dark eye makeup, piercings and black grills. She even wore a T-shirt featuring the cover art from North’s debut EP, which came out in May.

This isn’t the first time the Kardashian clan decides to dress up as each other for Halloween. In fact, North herself has previously dressed as her dad, Kanye West, including as the bear mascot from his album Graduation. Last Halloween, Kim, North and Kris Jenner dressed up as a viral TikTok family, with Kim wearing facial hair and neck tattoos.

Some fans mistook her for North

Followers flooded the comments. “They really do have the same face,” one wrote. Another said, “I couldn’t tell the difference.” A third wrote that it took them two minutes to realize it was Kim, and one said they thought she was just posting her daughter. Khloé Kardashian summed it up in one word: “Twins!!!!!!” Friend of the family, La La Anthony, wrote, “U went crrrazzzzyyyyy.”

Many commenters also praised Kim for backing North’s look. “We love to see a supportive motherrrr,” one wrote.

Another wished more parents were as involved. “I love this, more moms should be this way with their kids. This is so sweet & they both are so beautiful.”

North’s look has drawn comments online, including from people who called it “demonic.” In a TikTok livestream earlier this month, North herself answered them directly: “Stop saying I’m demonic. No, I’m not. Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Kim told her she thought people reacted that way because of the black grills and piercings, also noting that the piercings change all the time, so they can’t be real.

“I don’t think people really get it, but do you care?” Kim asked her daughter. She also has said that North’s style is the one area where she lets her daughter express herself, and that North still has plenty of rules at home.

North has wanted piercings for years and once wore fake ones to pre-K. North told Dazed her blue pigtails were inspired by the Japanese virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.
