LL Cool J weighs in on Miranda Lambert concert selfie drama: ‘Get over it, baby’

LL Cool J is the latest person to weigh in on Miranda Lambert’s recent selfie at a concert drama.

The rapper and actor commented on the incident during an appearance on the radio show Mercedes in the Morning, saying “no,” he wouldn’t call out a fan for taking a photo during one of his shows.

“Miranda, get over it, baby,” he said. “They’re fans. It’s fans.”

The NCIS: Hawai’i star explained that while it’s an artist’s job to “create art,” “The way people choose to interact with that art or engage it or appreciate it is up to them.”

“If you want to come to my show and you want to sit there and eat a bowl of potato salad with a baseball hat down to your nose, that’s what you choose to do. You gotta let the fans do what they want to do. What about the thousands of people who aren’t doing that? What, you got rules? No yellow shirts!”

Lambert has been receiving a lot of flak after calling out a group of fans in the middle of her concert for taking selfies.

“I’m gonna stop right here for a second… These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s p***ing me off a little bit.”

“I don’t like it, at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight; I’m singing some country damn music,” she said before restarting the song.

The response was mixed. Many at the Las Vegas venue cheered, however others walked out in protest.

Although LL Cool J, like many others, don’t agree with the country star’s actions he doesn’t have any hard feelings for her.

“I’m not gonna judge her. I have nothing unkind to say about her. I wish her the best. She has the right to her feelings, but to me, I let the fans be the fans and do what they want to do.”

Meanwhile the Grammy winner said if any of his fans plan on attending his upcoming tour, “enjoy yourself… if you want to take selfies. If you want to bring the old Polaroids from the early 1800s, that’s up to you.”
