Madonna is breaking her silence following her hospitalization for what’s been reported as a bacterial infection.
The pop star shared a lengthy message to fans on her Instagram Monday.
“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement,” she began. “I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.”
The “Vogue” singer, who was set to begin the highly anticipated Celebration Tour on July 15, went on to explain her first thoughts upon waking up in the hospital.
“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children,” she wrote.
Madonna is a mother to six children. She Lourdes Leon, 26, with ex Carlos Leon and Rocco, 22, with ex-husband Guy Ritchie. She has also adopted four children, David Banda and Mercy James, both 17, and twins Stella and Estere, 10.
Madonna wrote that in addition to worrying about her children, she expressed concern for her loyal fans or “the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show.”
“I hate to disappoint anyone.”
Her “current plan” involves her “health and getting stronger,” which means to the disappoint to some fans, the postponement of the North American leg of the Celebration Tour.
The European leg will begin as scheduled in October.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support.”

It’s such great news that Madonna is out of the hospital and seemingly doing much better. Let’s hope she continues to heal so she can go out on stage and perform for all her fans.
