Michael J. Fox joins Coldplay on stage for ‘mind blowing’ Glastonbury performance

If there’s one video you watch today, make it Coldplay’s performance featuring Michael J. Fox.

Over the weekend, the legendary actor, 63, shared the stage with the British rock band during their set at Glastonbury. Fox accompanied Coldplay with his guitar as the band played “Humankind” and “Fix You”.

On Saturday, Coldplay became the first act to headline the massive UK music festival for the fifth time, but that wasn’t the highlight of the weekend.

It was the inclusion of a very important guest, one who frontman Chris Martin said inspired the group’s career: Michael J. Fox.

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, joined Coldplay on stage for two of their hits.

Following their performance Martin thanked Fox in front of the 100,000 concertgoers.

“The main reason why we’re in a band is because of watching ‘Back to the Future,'” Martin said. “So thank you to our hero forever, one of the most amazing people on earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox, thank you so much Michael, our hero.”

The actor shared his own tribute to the band on social media following their performance.

“Glastonbury all the love and thanks to the @coldplay team who took such great care of us. And many thanks to Chris, Will, Johnny, Guy and Phil,” Fox wrote, alongside a carousel of photos. “Oh yeah in case you were wondering…it was f*cking mind blowing. There is a time for every band and a band for every time. This is @coldplay’s time.”

Fox previously teamed up with Coldplay in 2016 at one of the rock band’s shows in New Jersey.

I was moved to tears by their performance. I have never seen something so beautiful.

Please share if you’re a fan of Michael J. Fox or Coldplay.
