Queen Elizabeth “scolded” Prince Harry over his ‘bad language’ before his wedding

As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry mark three years of marriage a painful recollection of the time leading up to their beautiful day has emerged.

According to a royal source the Queen had to step in and put Harry in his place after he used offensive language toward one of her closest aids concerning access to a tiara that Meghan had requested.

Harry was reportedly rude to Queen Elizabeth‘s dresser and close friend Angela Kelly who told Meghan she could not have access to the tiara at such short notice and that the couple were not following royal protocol.

The 53-year-old from Liverpool is a fashion designer, dressmaker, and milliner who has served as the Queen’s personal assistant and senior dresser for almost 20 years.

Behind the scenes she is said to be a trusted friend of the Queen, who considers her like a sister. When it’s time for the Queen to visit Angela she is reported to tell staff she’s “stepping out for a bit.”

The Duchess of Sussex had visited the palace in the run up to her big day to try on an ornamental crown picked by her and Harry.

But Meghan wasn’t permitted to see it by Angela who reportedly told her she hadn’t followed royal protocols.

“Angela essentially said, ‘I’m very sorry, that’s not how it works.’ There’s protocol in place over these jewels,” as per the Mirror newspaper citing a royal source.

“They’re kept under very tight lock and key. You can’t turn up and demand to have the tiara just because your hairdresser happens to be in town.”

The insider claimed Harry responded with rude language and following the incident the Queen was alerted who arranged a private meeting with her grandson.

The Queen is said to have “scolded” Harry for his behavior toward her closest aide.

The couple got married on May 19, 2018 in front of 30 million viewers with an array of celebrity guests including George and Amal Clooney and Oprah Winfrey.

The couple sat down with the chat show queen three months ago and admitted that the wedding we all watched wasn’t their actual wedding and they had got married three days before in a private ceremony.

While Harry, Meghan and Oprah stood in the chicken coop of the couple’s multi-million dollar mansion in California Meghan revealed: “Three days before our wedding, we got married.

“No one knows that, but we called the archbishop and we just said, ‘This thing, this spectacle is for the world, but we want our union between us.’

“So the vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury,” she continued.

Just weeks later the Archbishop of Canterbury disputed Meghan’s claim in a diplomatic and respectful way but his comments forced the couple to do a U-turn on their previous claim.

Archbishop Justin Welby said he would have been “committing a serious crime” if he had signed the marriage certificate on the actual day, knowing it was false,” as per BBC News Online.

But he met the couple “in a private and pastoral setting” beforehand, he said.

In the run up to the nuptials Harry was reportedly angry by the way his wife was treated.

Megxit biography “Finding Freedom” accuses Angela Kelly of “deliberately dragging her feet” when the Duchess asked to have access to the tiara before the big day.

Authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie said Harry felt some of the “old guard” at the palace “simply didn’t like Meghan and would stop at nothing to make her life difficult”.

A royal source said after the event that Harry: “Was put firmly in his place. He had been downright rude,” as per the Mail.

Harry and Meghan marked their third anniversary with a special announcement – their Archewell Foundation has announced plans to build its next Community Relief Center in India in partnership with World Central Kitchen.

In light of the devastating second wave of Covid that India is facing the center will be built in Mumbai, India, as per Hello magazine.

The couple’s anniversary celebration was a low-key affair as Meghan is heavily pregnant with their second child – a baby girl due this summer.

It’s hard to know who is telling the truth in all of this; but we do know that there is a family that has been torn apart by pain and however famous they are it must be hard for all involved.

I hope they can find a way through this and reconcile their differences, for the sake of their children who have a right to get to know all of their family. Please share.
