Rosanna Arquette was reportedly involved in a car accident on Tuesday, completely losing control of her vehicle and driving through a busy shopping area in Point Dume Village, Malibu.
The Pulp Fiction actress, 63, had apparently driven through the back of the popular Californian shopping precinct at around 9:45am on Tuesday (July 13).
Arquette’s teal BMW then appeared to have crashed through a glass partition before coming to a halt outside local favorite, Lily’s Malibu.
Malibu/Lost Hill’s sheriff’s Deputy Navarro to Fox News that: “It appeared that she had possibly lost control of her vehicle,” before adding: “At the time of the incident, it did not appear that she had any injuries.”
Following the crash, the actress was transported to a local hospital on precautionary measures, Fox News detailed, and authorities later confirmed that there had been no indication of impairment due to drugs or alcohol.
Captain Mike Rivera of the Los Angeles fire department told the Malibu Times earlier in the week that Arquette had been trying to park her luxury vehicle, but instead of reversing, her car lurched forward.
“Around 9:45am a vehicle that was attempting to park, it was unknown exactly what happened, but instead of backing out, it went forward, and took out three pillards that support the roof, luckily no one was injured, we had two tables nearby but luckily no one was sitting there. Right now we’re just waiting for engineering to come out to deem the building safe and make sure it’s safe,” Captain Rivera said at the time.
Fortunately, no one was hurt and the Desperately Seeking Susan actress also didn’t appear to suffer any injuries, but was a little shaken after the incident. “She was a little shook up about what happened,” Captain Rivera told the outlet.
Arquette has kept largely out of the spotlight over the past few years, while still appearing in numerous films and TV series.
Earlier this year in May, the actress was spotted on a girl’s night out with fellow Hollywood stars Jane Fonda, 85, and Melanie Griffith, 65, at fav celebrity hangout San Vicente Bungalows.
Arquette paired a stylish silk blue blouse with a pair of black cigarette trousers and a button-up jacket over the top. She styled her blonde tresses in flattering waves that framed her face.
As for her recent car accident, the star is reportedly not in a serious condition and does not have any life-threatening injuries.
