Vanna White hires ‘aggressive new lawyer’ after nearly 20 years on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ without a pay raise

Vanna White may have co-hosted Wheel of Fortune since 1982, but that doesn’t necessarily mean her pay reflects four decades worth of work.

A new report suggests White hasn’t received a raise in nearly 20 years, and in light of host Pat Sajak’s retirement the longtime co-host has hired an “aggressive new lawyer” to get her the money she deserves.

According to Puck, White, 66, currently makes $3 million a year while Sajak makes about five times that amount.

It could be argued that Sajak earns more because he is the host, but multiple sources confirmed that not only does White spend more time on set than Sajak, but she does more publicity for the show as well.

Prior to Sajak’s announcement, White said she couldn’t imagine Wheel of Fortune without either one of them.

“Everybody relates Wheel of Fortune to Pat and Vanna. We’re like Ken and Barbie, you know?” she told People. “We’ve been in everybody’s homes for 40 years, so it would be weird having somebody else turn my letters.”

And she couldn’t imagine doing the show without Sajak.

“We’re a team,” she said. “That’s depressing. I don’t even want to think about it.”

But now it looks like Wheel of Fortune will go on without the dynamic duo.

After all these years Vanna White deserves a big raise. It’s ridiculous that she does so much for the show and hasn’t seen an increase in pay for nearly 20 years.
