7th grader donates $15,000 in livestock premiums to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

If you won $15,000 what would you do with the money?

Would your answer change if you were asked at different times during your life?

Recently, a 7th grader received $15,000 in livestock premiums at a county fair in Ohio. While he could have spent the money on any number of things, he chose to give it all away.

On Saturday, Western Reserve Schools, a school district in Ohio, shared that one of their students made a substantial donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Diesel Pippert chose to donate his livestock premiums, which totaled $15,000, from the Huron County Fair large animal sale to the children’s research hospital.

Diesel’s generous donation will go towards supporting patients and research at St. Jude. And the 7th grader’s donation, like others, doesn’t just stop at St. Jude. According to their website, since they freely share their discoveries with others around the world, the children and families who benefit aren’t limited to those who receive treatment at the hospital.

Way to go Diesel!

We should learn from this young man and donate, if we can. Pass this post on to thank Diesel for his generosity and to raise money for St. Jude.
