Korean War veteran’s family can’t attend his funeral so the cemetery is asking for the public’s help

A cemetery in Cincinnati is asking for the public’s help.

A Korean War veteran will be buried at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 at Cincinnati’s Spring Grove Cemetery, and since his family is not in the area, officials are inviting the public to attend.

Hezekiah Perkins, 90, served in the United States Army during the Korean War and will be buried with full Military Honors. According to reports, Perkins prearranged and paid for his funeral over 20 years ago.

Members of the Spring Grove Cemetery family will act as the pallbearers for the veteran’s funeral.

Perkins will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, Section 137, Lot 318, Space 1, at 3 p.m. on May 25. Those who wish to say a final farewell to one of our country’s servicemen are welcome to attend.

Since Hezekiah Perkins’ family can’t attend his funeral, the cemetery is asking the public to attend so this brave man can have a proper farewell.
