Police in Boynton Beach, Florida have released scary, yet heartwarming security footage from the intersection of Woolbright Road and Congress Avenue on May 5.

The footage shows a vehicle slowly entering the intersection followed by a woman waving her arms to get the other motorists’ attention. Within seconds other drivers are out of their cars and surround the slow moving vehicle.

According to the Boynton Beach Police Department, an unidentified woman suffered a medical episode while driving. Her coworker happened to be in a nearby car and witnessed the woman slumped over the steering wheel and saw her vehicle slowly enter the intersection.

As seen in the harrowing video, the coworker ran into the street and attempted to capture the other motorists’ attention.

Several people emerged from their vehicles and rushed up to the moving car.

Once the good Samaritans were able to stop the car, one man tried to break the rear passenger window. Another woman ran to her vehicle and retrieved a dumbbell which was then used to smash the window and gain access to the car.

The security footage shows a man lunge into the backseat and unlock the front passenger-side door. They were able to put the vehicle in park and then push it to a nearby parking lot where a nurse who was on the phone with 911 provided medical attention until emergency services arrived.

Thanks to this group of good Samaritans, the woman is doing okay, according to police.

Now, they want the public’s help with identifying the heroes in the video.

“They are heroes and we want to bring them back together at the police department to recognize them and meet the woman they rescued. We need your help to do this.”
