Anna Bozman’s son Lake died of leukaemia just weeks before he would have turned 9. The grief was, as can only be expected, extremely difficult on Anna and her family. “Somehow I have managed to continue going but there have been many days that I did not think I could,” Anna writes on Facebook.
Six months after her son’s death, Anna was scheduled to marry. She felt that her son, Lake, was watching over her from heaven and making the day as beautiful as it could possibly be.
But when came the time to take her wedding pictures, Anna felt terribly pained.
“I do know that ️Lake has been watching over us especially when we got married,” she writes on Facebook. “He made sure that it would be a day that none of us would forget. Although I felt his presence that day and I was actually happy, it was almost unbearable to take family pictures without him.”
The solution was obvious. After the pictures were taken, she asked the photographer to edit her son’s shadow in.
“I needed this picture more than the photographer or anyone could ever know. THIS is my family. And we will be together again.”
Anna told New York Daily News that particular wedding picture is now the most important thing she owns.
