Being a parent is one of the most demanding jobs a person can have. And having more than one child only makes the task more difficult.
Besides feeding, clothing, and educating them, you also have to keep an eye on your little ones 24/7.
And this is something that a young mother named Tila learned the hard way when she turned her head away from her 11-month-old for just a few seconds.
Tila had just changed little Eitan’s diaper when her son Zion required her attention.
Zion had a question about his homework and Tila turned to answer him.
Meanwhile, Eitan was lying on his back on the changing table. And in that short window of time while his mom was preoccupied, Eitan flipped over and one of his legs dangled over the edge.
A second later, he fell. And at that exact moment, his nine-year-old brother, Joseph, rushed into the room. He threw himself forward and miraculously caught his baby brother.
Eitan’s leg hit the floor, but Joseph, who is normally barely able to lift 30-pound Eitan, managed to catch him and protect his head from hitting the dresser. Joseph said it felt like he was given a boost by an angel, and otherwise he never would have been able to catch his brother.
While Eitan was unharmed and unfazed by the incident, Joseph was a little shocked at first. Now, that’s what I call a real guardian angel!
Joseph’s grandparents wanted to give him a gift for being so brave and saving his brother, but the young hero politely declined, saying that it was enough to have helped his baby brother.
The incident occurred on September 29, and at first, Tila was too ashamed to share the video. But three days later marked Rosh Hashanah, or Jewish New Year, and her husband shared the video with their friends to tell them they were “starting the year off with a miracle”
Tila, who later posted the video on Facebook, wrote: “Enjoy your kids. Protect them as much as you can. At the end of the day, in a second, everything can change.”
