Anežka (Agnes) Kašpárková worked almost her entire life as a farmer. Even so, she managed to retain a hobby that thousands of people can enjoy.
Armed with a vibrant set of blue paint and a small brush, she created intricate floral pattens on the outside of buildings in the village of Louka, Czech Republic. The paintings, created only through skill of hand and a vivid imagination, are inspired by traditional Moravian artwork.
In her time, Agnes received plaudits from all over the world, but always insisted her paintings were only done for pleasure. According to the lady herself, making money from art was never the route she wanted to go down.
“I’m an artist. I just like it and I want to help,” the 90-year-old told Czech media.
After all, age is just a number, especially when it comes to embracing your inner-creativity.
