There’s been much and more said about Bud Light’s partnership with transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney of late.
Indeed, the beer giant’s decision to make Mulvaney the face of their brand to promote the March Madness basketball tournament has divided opinion ever since its announcement, and the whirlwind of controversy shows no signs of slowing down.
Amidst the storm of comments and opinions, a number of high-profile figures have sided for or against Bud Light’s call, with Kid Rock gaining viral attention after filming himself shooting Bud Light cans out of the sky with a machine gun in protest.
Country music star Brantley Gilbert is the latest to weigh in on the matter, making his feelings abundantly clear during a show at Indian Mountain ATV Park in Piedmont, Alabama this weekend.

Bud Light this month stoked the fires of controversy after announcing that transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney would be their spokesperson for the March Madness basketball tournament.
Bud Light cans featuring the 26-year-old’s face were created to celebrate a milestone in her “365 Days of Girlhood” TikTok series, where Mulvaney documents and details in depth her first year identifying as a transgender woman.
Since then, both Bud Light and Mulvaney have found themselves the subject of ridicule and criticism from various parts of the media, and have faced strong backlash online.
The topic has been hotly debated to say the least. This past weekend it was country music star and known conservative Brantley Gilbert’s turn to let his thoughts be known.
As per Fox News, Gilbert no longer drinks alcohol, but while on stage for a show in Piedmont, Alabama he was thrown a can of Bud Light from someone in the audience.
The 38-year-old singer-songwriter reacted by yelling “F— that!”, before smashing the can on the ground. After being thrown another brand of beer, Gilbert nodded approvingly and tossed it to his drummer who promptly drank it.

According to reports, Mulvaney has partnered with a number of big-name brands since coming to mainstream prominence in 2022.
Just last week she appeared in a paid social media video dancing in a Nike women’s sports bra. After coming under fire, Nike defended their decision, encouraging customers to “Be kind, be inclusive … Encourage each other.”
While there has been plenty of kick-back over Bud Light’s deal with Mulvaney, it must be said that it’s received its fair share of praise to. Many internet denizens have applauded the bold move, acknowledging a step in the right direction regarding inclusivity and equal rights for all.
