Tough times for grandmother Mary Johnsen from Minnesota, USA. In just a year, a close friend was hospitalized and she lost several loved ones — including her mother.
Naturally, this put a dark cloud over her for a while. The 62-year-old’s spirits were low and her granddaughter noticed.
She felt she had to do something for her grandmother. And that’s when she got the miraculous idea to contact Christopher Hopkins aka “The Makeover Guy.”
The granddaughter thought maybe if she could get her grandma to feel better about the way she looked, it would begin the process of getting her out of her depression.
Mary’s granddaughter was determined to get her granny’s confidence and spirits back up after her horrific year.
“She doesn’t really think that’s she’s pretty and she is,” the granddaughter tells Rumble. “I just want her to be able to see that in herself.”
So, she put everything in the hands of makeover pro Christopher Hopkins and let him work his magic.
Christopher starts by talking her through his idea for her.
Mary is clearly hesitant at first. You can clearly see she’s a little uncomfortable and perhaps not quite ready for the change.
But when the transformation is done, you see the look on her grandaughter’s face and it’s absolutley priceless.
Mary was so pleased with the makeover that she even wrote a sweet message to Christopher, which he posted on Facebook.
“I can’t thank you enough!! I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and liked what I was seeing! That hasn’t happened in a very long time.” Mary says in the message. “I walked into the salon not feeling very attractive, and walked out feeling pampered and pretty! You guys are fabulous!”

Mary got much more than just a makeover. She got to feel pretty and special again — and most importantly, she was able to feel happy for the first time in a while.
