Tracy Ineichen, 28, is a mom to 1-year-old Brier.
Unfortunately, there was a period in her life where she was unable to look after her darling girl; she had to serve prison time for a minor offense.
While she was locked up, Brier went to live with her grandmother, Annette.
Tracy would soon become worried when her mother didn’t come to visit the facility as planned. When she hadn’t heard anything in a week, she began to panic.
As a result, she asked her boyfriend, Anthony Waldo, to check on her daughter and mother. Nothing could have prepared him for what he would find…
It was November 14th when Anthony paid a visit to the house Annette and Tracy’s daughter were staying in.
But the moment he crossed the threshold, he noticed something wasn’t right. It soon turned out that 58-year-old Annette had died in the bedroom.
Meanwhile, little Brier was stuck in her crib – she was severely malnourished and dehydrated.
The police estimated that the girl hadn’t been attended to for at least three days, though it could have been as many as five.
That’s five days without food or water for a one-year-old baby.
Speculation suggests Annette died of natural causes, though other rumours insist it was disease that claimed her life.
When Brier was found, she cried and held out her arms; it was obvious she wanted to be picked up and comforted.
Anthony took charge of Brier while she was recovering, doing his best to care for her every need while his partner remained in prison.
He wasn’t her biological father, but he did his utmost given the situation and Brier is lucky to have him around.
“I’m basically like her godfather,” he says, as per WVLT.
“Throughout her whole life, her short little fifteen months that she’s been here, I’ve tried to help her out.”
According to police chief Tony Crisp, Brier was given to a new family following the tragic event, one chosen by social services.
Today, however, it seems Tracy has been released from prison and reunited with her daughter.
Hopefully, from here on in the mom will keep on the right side of the law and ensure she’s always there for Brier.
We wish them all the very best in the future – share if you do too!
