Mom cuts grass wearing baby carrier – her heart stops when she sees cop pull up

There are very few things a mom can’t do. Fact.

I can vividly remember how good my mom was at completing several tasks at once, all whilst running a household that included three children and two dogs. I’m not saying she shouldn’t have had help, only that it proved to me from an early age just how good she was at multi-tasking.

And, it appears, she’s not the only one. Mom of three Rachael Brindley was juggling parenting, taking care of household chores and various other jobs, but she’s never been one to cower in the face of a task. Since her hubby was busy working on a project, he hadn’t had time to mow the lawn. Despite needing to look after her four-month-old baby, Rachael decided to step up to the plate. Little did she know she was about to create a story that would become a viral hit…

The sun was out and Rachael and Ryan’s front lawn needed a trim.

“It was a nice day out and so I thought I’d help my husband out and cut it myself,” Rachael said to KCTV5 News. “I enjoy cutting the grass.”

So she did just that. In fact, she managed to do so with the couple’s four-month-old baby sitting in a front-facing infant carrier strapped to her torso.

When Rachael started to mow, however, she felt her heart drop as she saw a Madison County sheriff’s deputy pulling into her driveway. The young mom of three panicked, believing she might be in trouble for some reason.

She later wrote on Facebook: “Y’all I thought I was about to get in trouble or something…”

Only, the officer wasn’t there to give her a ticking off.

“…this sweet sheriff stopped and insisted on mowing my yard for me!!”

Having seen Rachael trying to mow the lawn with the baby strapped to her, the officer in question had decided he simply couldn’t drive on by. Instead, he pulled up and offered to do Rachael’s lawn for her!

Ryan told KCTV: “It’s small in nature, but was a huge help to my wife today.”

Since Rachael shared her story on Facebook it’s been shared 17,000 times. What an incredible gesture from the officer!

Sometimes we all need a helping hand in our daily lives. It’s great to see that when Rachael’s hour of need came around, there was a complete stranger willing to step in and help.
