Mom dies a month after losing daughter in heartbreaking car crash that killed 9 of her family members

Tragedy struck a Connecticut family for the second time in six weeks after a mom passed away a month after her daughter and eight other family members died in a Palm Beach Country crash.

As per reports, the loved ones of Andrea Edwards suffered an inconceivable loss when an SUV carrying nine of their family members went off the road and into a canal on August 5.

The victims of that accident were identified as 57-year-old Pamela Wiggins (the driver), 30-year-old Leiana Alyse Hall, 21-year-old Anyia Monique Lee Tucker, 14-year-old Michael Anthony Hall Jr., 8-year-old Imani Andre Ajani Hall, 5-year-olds Kamdien Edwards and Yasire Smith, 3-year-old Ziaire Mack, and 1-year-old Naleia Tucker.

26-year-old Jorden Hall was the only survivor of the crash. The family say he did his best to rescue the others from the water but ultimately wasn’t able to.

To compound their grief, Andrea Edwards then died on September 10, just over a month on from the aforementioned tragedy. Andrea’s sister Antianette lost her only child, Kamdien Edwards-Raynor, in the August 5 crash.

“He was funny. He was a daredevil even though he was small,” she explained. “…. I just laid in the bed, crying and cried until I fell asleep. And that was 6 in the morning. I cried myself to sleep.”

Last week, Antianette then got the news that her sister had passed away.

“We just lost nine. And then lose another one on top of that,” Antianette said.

Reports claim that family members believe Andrea died following a seizure. Antianette, though, insists it was from a broken heart.

The victims when the family’s SUV went into the canal included Andrea’s 21-year-old daughter Anyia and her one-year-old granddaughter, Naleia.

“She said her heart was so broken,” Antianette said. “She didn’t know how to deal with the reality of it.”

“I’m numb. I’m numb most of the time. People talk to me, I can’t focus,” Antianette added. “This one is a shock. And the family is like, their heart can’t take it.”

The family has already held three funerals for those who died in the car crash, but are heartbreakingly in the process of planning a fourth.

Our hearts go out to Antianette and the rest of her family.
