‘Baby India’: More than 1,000 people want to adopt newborn baby found in ‘plastic bag’

The little girl in question, nicknamed “Baby India”, was found at around 10 p.m. on June 6 in a wooded area. A nearby family had heard her cries and went to investigate, thereafter stumbling upon the baby, who was covered in blood and still had her umbilical cord attached.

Body cam footage released by the Sheriff’s Office appears to catch the sounds of a crying baby as responders rush to help. There was no sign of her mother at the scene, however.

Police discovered “Baby India” wrapped in nothing but a plastic bag, They assessed her for injuries and wrapped her in a blanket, before rushing her away so she could receive the relevant care.

As yet, the child’s mother hasn’t come forward, with families lining up to give her the forever home she truly deserves.

Anyone with any information regarding the mother, Baby India’s birth or any family ties, is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office on 770-781-3087.
