National Amber Alert issued and $4,000 reward offered in search for missing Taylor Rose Williams, 5

A nationwide Amber Alert has been issued in the search for missing 5-year-old Taylor Rose Williams.

The girl, of Jacksonville, Florida went missing from her home last Wednesday. CBS say authorities are offering a $4,000 reward for any information that leads to finding her.

Williams’ mother, Brianna Williams, placed a call to police on Wednesday at around 7:20 a.m. She said she saw her daughter last in their home on the night of Tuesday.

The little girl wasn’t in her bedroom when her mother went in on Wednesday morning, while the back door was supposedly unlocked.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert, sparking a hunt to find Williams as quickly as possible. Five days on, however, and they have found nothing, and so have upgraded it to a nationwide alert.

Jacksonville Sheriff, Mike Williams, said in a press conference that Brianna Williams was no longer cooperating with the police.

He said: “We were talking to her about some inconsistencies in her statement and that’s why she chose to stop cooperating with us. Brianna Williams was the last person to see Taylor and we need for her to cooperate with us in this investigation …”

Brianna, a petty officer stationed with the Navy in Jacksonville, is not currently in custody, though has become a person of interest.

Meanwhile, the girl’s father, Maurice Tate, who lives outside the state, said “it’s been a minute” since he last saw his daughter. He has been in touch with authorities regarding the investigation, though reportedly does not intend on coming to Jacksonville to help.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500 or 911 or the FDLE Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 1-888-356-4774.

We hope little Taylor Rose Williams is found soon! I can only imagine how scared that little girl must be.
