Worrying reports about Madonna’s children confirm the rumors are true after star’s near-fatal medical emergency

Madonna may have survived the terrifying health emergency that saw her admitted to the ICU last month, but if reports are to be believed her health woes have been lurking in the background for quite some time.

The Queen of Pop was rushed to hospital in late June after being found unresponsive. It was later reported that the star had developed a bacterial infection, while other sources said she had to be revived with Narcan after suffering from septic shock.

In any case, it’s been a rocky period for Madonna, as well as her legions of fans, though the 64-year-old issued a statement earlier this week to reassure the world that she was on the road to recovery.

“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children,” she wrote on Instagram.

The Like a Virgin singer’s manager, Guy Oseary, also moved to insist that her team would be putting together a plan regarding her much-anticipated “Celebration” tour, which was postponed in light of her medical emergency.

However, new reports in the Daily Mirror state that Madge has been “one step away from disaster” for a while, with her children having decided to “stage an intervention” in order to ensure she gets better.

The Mirror say that Madonna’s brood are most concerned over the way she allegedly “punishes herself”, as well as worrying that she goes “overboard” with surgery. The report in question suggests that Lourdes, 26, Rocco, 22, David and Mercy, 17, and Stella and Estere, 10, believe their mother “acts like she’s in her twenties”.

The troubling insights come after it was claimed by several news outlets that Madonna had been suffering with a “low-grade fever for a month” before succumbing to the bacterial infection that saw her rushed to hospital.

It’s also been said that the Like a Prayer hitmaker refused to see a doctor, and was concerned by how seeking medical attention could impact her aforementioned world tour.

In light of the episode that threatened to claim Madonna’s life, her children are now desperately trying to “talk some sense” into their mom, if a Heat Magazine source is to be believed.

“Lourdes and Rocco have said for years that Madonna is one step away from disaster with the way she punishes herself, going overboard with the surgery and generally trying to act like she’s still in her twenties,” said source told Heat.

“It’s a serious intervention and they’re determined to see it all the way through. The kids all agree that they need to talk some sense into their mum and let her know this is a major wakeup call.”

Yesterday it was reported that Madonna has a set of strict instructions in place regarding what is to be done with her multi-million dollar legacy when she dies.

According to The Sun, the singer has ensured the protection of her $850m legacy – apparently setting up “rules” that dictate what record labels and music executives will and won’t be able to do after she eventually passes.

Madonna will also allegedly share the rights to her music equally between her six children, as well as her long-term manager Oseary. Music royalties are especially lucrative, and can provide thousands of dollars of income to those who are gifted the rights.
