Days after revealing her battle with brain cancer, Michael Strahan‘s daughter Isabella is once again sharing news about her health. This time she’s celebrating the end of radiation treatment.
“I’m very excited to finally be done,” the 19-year-old said in a vlog on YouTube.
In the third video on her YouTube channel, she documented her final day of treatment at the New York Proton Center.
After wrapping up her last treatment she was greeted with congratulatory cheers from staff and emotional hugs from her family.
“So excited to ring that bell… Never thought I’d be ringing the bell,” she said.
The teen rang the bell as tears flowed down her cheeks.
Last week Isabella appeared on Good Morning America with her father Michael Strahan, a GMA host, to discuss her recent health battle.
“It’s been like, two months of keeping it quiet, which is definitely difficult. I don’t wanna hide it anymore ’cause it’s hard to always keep in,” she told GMA host Robin Roberts. “I hope to just kind of be a voice, and be [someone] who maybe [those who] are going through chemotherapy or radiation can look at.”
Isabella will start chemotherapy next month at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Durham, North Carolina.
“That’s my next step. I’m ready for it to start and be one day closer to being over. …. I’m very excited for this whole process to wrap. But you just have to keep living every day, I think, through the whole thing.”
Our prayers are with Isabella Strahan and her family during this extremely difficult time. And, Isabella, we thank you for sharing your story. You have no idea the hope it’s giving to others who are fighting the same fight.
