5 reasons why you should wash your face with apple cider vinegar

Many people know that apple cider is quite useful for all sorts of things, but what they don’t know is it can also do wonders for your complexion.

And it doesn’t hurt that you won’t need your expensive facial cleansers anymore.

1. Prevents and reduces age spots

Wash your face with apple cider vinegar daily and watch your age spots get smaller or even disappear.

Dr. Doug Willen recommends, among other things, apple cider vinegar to get rid of age spots.

The alpha hydroxy acids (aka AHA acids) in apple cider vinegar penetrate deep into the skin, reveal healthy skin below, and remove pigment spots.

AHA acids are often used in expensive skin care products, but you don’t need to waste your money on them. Simply dab your face with apple cider vinegar instead.

2. Fights acne, pimples, and blemishes

The process of making apple cider vinegar also creates malic acid. This is what makes apple cider vinegar so good for acne and pimples.

Studies have shown that malic acid can kill bacteria and counteract viruses.

It prevents the onset of acne, pimples, and blemishes, which usually occur due to inflammation and bacteria.

3. Balances skin

According to New York dermatologist Dr. Karen Hammerman, if you wash your face with apple cider vinegar diluted in water 3-4 times a week, it might help balance the pH level on your face and counteract oily skin without drying it out.

Apple cider vinegar balances the sebum that can make your skin appear greasy and oily.

Wash your face daily to keep your complexion nice and fresh.

4. Prevents wrinkles

According to Jodi Friedman, a blogger for The Huffington Post, apple cider vinegar also does wonders when it comes to reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

For this to work, wash your face with diluted apple cider vinegar every day. I’m not sure if it works, but I think it’s at least worth a try.

Some people think that drinking a glass of apple cider vinegar also helps. Mix one part vinegar to six parts water.

5. Removes toxins

Studies show that washing your face with apple cider vinegar diluted with water every day kills toxins and gives your skin a nice glow.

Besides making your skin beautiful, apple cider vinegar also has many other great uses. Read about some here.

You should never put pure apple cider vinegar on your face. It can sting.

Mix vinegar with equal parts of water and test the strength by dabbing a little on your hand first. Some people may be sensitive to vinegar.
