Chris Mann Sings “You Raise Me Up” On “The Voice” And Judges Can’t Hold Back The Tears.

When Chris Mann sang “You Raise Me Up” on “The Voice,” his beautiful performance left even the judges in tears. Chris started the famous ballad sounding tender and exposed, but as the song continued, his voice gained more and more strength. Standing by Chris’ side was a sign language interpreter whose movements matched Chris’ voice, so that everyone in the room could experience Chris’ soaring performance. When Chris reached the words “you lift me up,” a chorus of young people flooded the stage, and Chris made his way toward the cheering audience. And by the end of the song, I felt like Chris had taken us on a journey that singers on singing competitions rarely take audiences. And the judges—especially coach Christina Aguilera—were moved to tears. Watch Chris’ beautiful performance below.
