I still can’t believe how many legendary musicians have died this year, including the great Leonard Cohen. He’s always been one of my favorites. And although I’m still sad about his passing, I find some solace in the fact that his music will live on forever.
One of Leonard Cohen’s songs that I’ve been listening to again recently is “Hallelujah.” I thought I’d heard all the best versions of this legendary song, but I just heard one that is head and shoulders above the rest.
Spanish group Il Divo has sold over 24million records and received over 100 gold and platinum albums – but none of that matters when you’re listening to this song.
Since I don’t speak Spanish, I honestly don’t understand the words. But despite that, it’s still completely magical. And when when you hear the harmonies at the end of the clip, I’m sure you’re going to need a tissue to dry your eyes.
Wasn’t that amazing? I’ve heard a lot of interpretations of “Hallelujah,” but I think that this one is in a class by itself. The harmonies that these incredible singers hit just brought me to tears.
