Concerns raised as former child YouTube star makes $3.4 million first day on OnlyFans after turning 18

OnlyFans has become huge in recent years. Now, many people are sharing their reactions to Piper Rockelle making $3.4 million in the first 24 hours after launching her account shortly after turning 18.

OnlyFans is a subscription-based platform where creators can share exclusive content with paying subscribers, and it has become increasingly popular in recent years.

Piper Rockelle’s jump into the adult content world is sparking backlash online. Over the years, she has gained more than 12 million YouTube subscribers, 18 million TikTok followers, and another 6.6 million followers on Instagram.

The former child YouTube star, who built her online fame at just eight years old, joined the platform just a few months after turning 18. According to the Mirror, she later claimed she earned $3.4 million in her first 24 hours.

Ahead of the launch, Rockelle teased the announcement across social media, even updating her X bio to read: “the link drops January 1st.” After the page officially went live, she shared screenshots showing what she allegedly earned within the first few hours.

In one since-deleted post, Rockelle claimed she made $1.4 million in just one hour. She later posted a breakdown, claiming $2 million came from subscriptions, $170,000 from tips, and the remaining earnings from paid messages.

“My first day! Forever grateful. What should my first purchase be?” she wrote alongside the update, according to VT.

Screenshots circulating online appeared to show total earnings closer to $2.9 million, though Rockelle later insisted the full 24-hour number reached $3.4 million.

“You’re a victim of predatory capitalism”

The response online quickly turned heated, with many users expressing discomfort over how long some followers may have been waiting for the influencer to turn 18.

“You’re a victim of predatory capitalism,” one user wrote, according to VT.

“Extremely disturbing folk that watch child youtubers and spend money on OFs subs as soon as they turn legal age,” another person commented.

A separate user added: “Just imagine how much of her audience were waiting since she was a literal child?”

“All the weird men in here happy but what about when she was 17, y’all nasty asses was just waiting for her to be freshly of age,” another person wrote.

Criticism continued pouring in across X, with one user posting: “This whole situation is so gross. All the men waiting for her to be legal? Yuck. After everything that was shown in the documentary I’m so concerned for her.”

Still, not everyone saw the launch negatively. Some people came to her defense and praised Rockelle for capitalizing on her influence and taking control of her own career at 18.
