Renee Nicole Good was killed in her car by an ICE agent last week. Now, a video of a DHS officer kicking and trampling candles that were left at a memorial for the 37-year-old mother sparks outrage on social media.
On January 7, while driving her SUV, Renee Nicole Good, 37, was killed by an ICE officer. The man fired three shots into her vehicle and hit the mother, who crashed into another car.
Good was pronounced dead at the scene, and the aftermath has, just like many times before, left many furious. Some state it’s murder, while ICE claimed she weaponized her vehicle,” which made the agent act in self-defense. That narrative is being strongly contested.
“An ICE officer fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow officers and the lives of the public, fired defensive shots, used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers,” DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said.
“The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. Thankfully, the ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.”

Renee Nicole Good was branded a “domestic terrorist” by people in the Trump administration.
Meanwhile, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said, “They are already trying to spin this as an action of self defense, having seen the video for myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bulls***. This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody getting killed.”
DHS agent seen kicking candles at Renee Good Memorial
Renee Nicole Good’s mother, Donna Ganger, told The Minnesota Star Tribune, “Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving, and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”
The murder has led to huge ICE protests in Minneapolis, and a memorial was set up to honor Renee. However, now, a video from the memorial has sparked outrage on social media.
In a video originally posted to the social media platform Bluesky and later reshared on X, an officer wearing a “Police DHS” patch walks through the Renee Nicole Good memorial. It featured the 37-year-old’s name written in chalk and several candles.
The exact location of the memorial remains unclear. However, people were outraged as the footage showed how the DHS officer knocked over the candles before confronting a protester.
The protester asked what then agent thought the candle was for to which the officer replied, “I don’t give a f***.”
Outrage on social media
The disturbing footage surfaced just a day after Renee was killed.
In the video, a protester yells, “Really, you f****** punk? That’s what you’re gonna f****** do?” as the agent kicked memorial candle lights on the ground.
The protester asks, “Do you know what the f*** that is for? What is that for?.” The DHS agent repeatedly yelled at the protester to back up, pushing him away.
“You’re gonna push— what is that for? What was that for?” the protester continued, to which the officer treplied, “I don’t give a f***.”
“You don’t give a f*** about her?” the protestor asked. “This is why we’re here.”

Social media users showed their outrage in the comments.
“Stomping on a memorial isn’t ok. Regardless of politics,” one wrote.
“Respect for a mother, not politics basic human decency,” a second added.
A third described it as the “Commie States of America,” while a fourth added, “No justification for that. This is America right now…
A fifth wrote, “This is disgusting behavior to kick a memorial candle and also not very fire-safe…”
