Jeffrey Epstein took his own life in his cell in 2019. Or did he? In a bombshell interview on Russian state television, Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, claims that the convicted sex-trafficker is still alive.
In August 2019, Jeffrey Epstein awaited, without the chance of bail, his trial on sex trafficking charges. However, he never got that far.
At around 6:30 a.m. on August 10, a couple of guards made the breakfast rounds in the locked and isolated unit of Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, where Epstein was held. One of them knocked on the metal door, asking Epstein to come to the door.
However, Epstein didn’t respond. One of the guards entered the cell and found Epstein alone and unresponsive. He was hanging by a strip of orange cloth tied to the top of a bunk bed.
One of the guards yelled to the other guard to call for help, but while they tried to resuscitate Jeffrey Epstein, it was too late.
“He kept saying, ‘Breathe, Epstein, breathe,’” guard Tova Noel, who was the last person to see the convicted sex offender alive the night before, told investigators.
The guard added that the other guard, Thomas, told her, “We’re going to be in so much trouble.”

Just a week later, the New York Medical Examiner determined that the 66-year-old had died by suicide from hanging. The official who performed the autopsy later told authorities that she had no doubt about it. However, the aftermath surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death would be about the missing minute on the CCTV.
The “mising minute” between 11.59 pm and midnight on August 10 became a key ingredient in the conspiracy theory surrounding the sex offender’s death. At first, former Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed the tape had been overwritten. During a cabinet meeting in July last year, she stated that the prison’s footage was routinely overwritten every 24 hours.
However, conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s death exploded at a later stage, when, in a cache of material, the tape was released by the US House Oversight Committee, going against what Bondi previously claimed about it being deleted.
Many conspiracy theorists saw this as “proof” that something fishy was up with Epstein’s death. Still, to this day, no proof of Epstein being alive has actually been put forward.
However, now, a shocking claim has been made. That by Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk. During an interview on Russian state television, he claimed that it’s “absurd” and “ridiculous” to think Jeffrey Epstein is dead.
“The prison guards have come out to say that he was swapped out the night before he was supposed to commit suicide. The cameras were off at the wrong time, the guards went to sleep,” Errol Musk said, per the Daily Mail. “It’s absolutely absurd to think that this man is [dead]. He’s alive and well.”

Errol Musk, a regular visitor to Russia, was photographed as late as last week at the Russian Orthodox Easter midnight service at a Moscow cathedral. Another visitor? Vladimir Putin.
Per The Guardian, Musk’s ties to Russia have been rumored for a long time. Previously, Errol said his entire family is “a little bit in awe” of Putin. Last year, speaking alongside Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, his son, Elon Musk, praised Vladimir Putin as a “very stable and pleasant man”.

“I don’t care what Elon Musk himself says. Why would I care what his dad says?” another added, while a third claimed, “A whole family of attention-seeking idiots.”
