South Carolina mother-of-three Kyleen Waltman, 38, is still fighting for her life after being viciously attacked by a trio of dogs on March 21.

According to reports, Kyleen was still being mauled by the dogs in a ditch when she was saved by a local farmer and witness, who fired his gun into the air to get them to disperse.

Kyleen’s sister, Shenna Green, told the Associated Press how the dogs lived on a property with a “Beware of Dogs” sign. The sign had been put up by the owner in response to the dogs behaving aggressively before.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Kyleen seriously injured. She was airlifted to the hospital, badly injured. Unfortunately, the surgeons had to act fast and both of her arms were amputated and her colon was removed.

“She didn’t deserve it,” her sister Shenna said. “She was a good person. She helped everybody.”

Kyleen’s other sister, Amy Wynne, set up a GoFundMe page to help with the mounting medical expenses. On Monday, April 4, she gave an update and wrote the following:

“I’m sorry this is kind of late but it’s been hectic here lately.. Kyleen has been fully woken up and the doctors told her about her arms but, it caused her a great deal of a anxiety, so they sedated her. Her blood pressure is still very and she is running a fever of 102+ her oxygen levels keep falling so she’s back on the ventilator. Mama says it’s like she’s giving up. Before ya’ll go assuming we as her family are not giving up. The lord has brought her this far for a reason. Her story is not done. Now they have took off everything on the arms that now she can not have regular prosthetics. So here we are trying to figure out how to keep her from thinking negative thoughts about her life. I understand that for 38 years she’s had arms and now she doesn’t, how she’s thinking. She’s still fighting. Prayers are working and slowly she healing. We just have to wait and allow God and time to do their there. I appreciate all the comments and prayers. Please just keep her and us in your prayers. I will update again when I have more information.”

After the attack, the dog’s owner was arrested and charged. The owner of the offending dogs has been identified as Justin L. Minor.

While the charges were read to him, the owner was seen crying in the courtroom. He wаs releаsed on а $15,000 bond.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Abbeville County Animаl Control went out to the scene and all three of the dogs – two pit bulls and one mixed breed – were seized.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending prayers and love to the victim and her family. I truly hope Kyleen will pull threw all this!

I pray she can pull through without any further complications.

Please, join us in sending strength and love in Kyleen’s direction. She sure needs all of our support right now!
