Hayden Panettiere was found dead in an apartment at the Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday. Now, a neighbor has revealed new details on the horrifying moment the actress was found.
On Sunday, actress Hayden Panettiere, 36, was found dead in an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina. The call came at around 1:51 p.m. from Judson Mill Lofts on Easley Bridge Road.
An unidentified acquaintance reportedly made the 911 call. Panettiere was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” the statement read.
“The case is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call.”
On Monday, the 911 call audio was unveiled by Page Six, in which the possible cause of death was revealed: an apparent overdose. However, there has been no official confirmation on what really happened.

Now, new details surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s tragic passing are emerging. Speaking to Page Six, a tenant of Judsom Mill Lofts has explained what happened in the harrowing hours after the actress’ death.
The neighbor stated that they hadn’t seen Panettiere before the news of her death broke. The news outlet reported that property managers had reached out to residents to keep them informed on the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death.
“It’s still kind of jarring to hear that someone of her stature was here and then that tragically happened to her,” the neighbor said, adding that cops were at the scene from around noon to 8 p.m.
“The coroner vehicle showed up and, of course, I knew then that there was a death,” the neighbor added. “Then woke up this morning to hear that it was Hayden, which is just still shocking.”
Although the neighbor didn’t have much infomraiton ot provide, they explained how two men were sitting outside the apartment with cops, looking like they “were in shock, not speaking and had their heads down.”
Micah Lee, who also lives in the Judson Mill Lofts complex, told WYFF: “The halls are pretty hollow, so noise echoes throughout. And I had just heard about someone collapsing. And then afterwards there was talk about cardiac arrest. I can’t confirm any of that. That’s just what I’ve heard.”
