He Gives A Homeless Woman A Haircut On The Street. But Wait Until You See Her Face.

Being homeless is certainly not something that many people choose to be. But if you have no other choice, and it eventually we can always try to reverse the situation and see the positive.

That’s exactly what J.C. Pearson has done. He is homeless in San Francisco but has something he is passionate about making his whole life so much better.

“I don’t think anybody wants to live outside on a sidewalk,” says J.C. Pearson. He’s a talented hairdresser who happens to be homeless and live on the street of San Francisco with his little dog, Lucky. And he’s been cutting and styling hair for the homeless for 18 years!

“If you feel good about yourself, it’s amazing what you can do,” he says in the video below.

Pearson explains that it comes back to what you feel familiar with and what you know. If you’ve lived on the street for most of your life, it’s hard to leave.

“I don’t care about the free money, I don’t care social security. I don’t care about welfare. I don’t even get food stamps. I don’t want it. I eat every day. I’m fine. I’m clean. I’m okay. I feel like I’m still here. I have always been.”

“If you cannot help yourself, how to help the world?” he says.

“Why do I cut their hair? Because I think that if you look better and you feel better about yourself, it gives you more confidence to approach the situations or the tests you’re gonna be put through.”

In the video below, J.C. styles a friend of his for a meeting with social services. He explains that in this situation, it’s easy to feel less than those who have a job or a home.

But when he’s finished with his friend’s makeover, her reaction is unbeatable and goes straight to the heart! Check out the video to see for yourself. So beautiful!
