HOT CAR DEATH: 11-month-old died after being left in car while mom was at work

Children being left in hot cars is a common problem that often leads to their death. It is such an unfortunate incident when a young life is lost because of something like this.

Motor vehicle companies continue to innovate and come up with solutions to this problem so news stories like this can be a thing of the past.

Police officials were called to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Flordia for assistance. An 11-month-old boy’s mother had left him inside her car after she had arrived at work for her shift in the morning.

The mother arrived back to her car at the end of her shift and saw her child unresponsive in the vehicle which caused her to become concerned. After officials arrived at the scene around 2 p.m., it was determined that the child had in fact died.

Officials have made no arrests in conjunction with the death as of yet. An autopsy and toxicology report are ordered and will determine the exact cause of death for the baby.

The police say they are conducting an investigation and have asked anyone that has information relating to this death to come forward.

The temperature in Tallahassee has consistently been over 80 degrees Fahrenheit for the last week or so. These days most places around the globe are experiencing heat waves. It is a smart reminder for everyone to be mindful of this and be more vigilant about the health of those who cannot advocate for themselves.

Little children and animals are more susceptible to health problems and even death due to rising temperatures and being left outside in the car under the blazing sun.

While there are motor vehicle companies like Honda trying to build technology that will make hot car deaths of children and animals a thing of the past, till that technology does not hit the markets and become common, everyone must stay vigilant.

Our heart goes out to the family of the little boy who passed away in these unfortunate circumstances and we pray that they find peace in this difficult time.
