Bryon Noem reportedly claimed his wife, former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, had engaged in an extramarital affair with her adviser, Corey Lewandowski, according to the Daily Mail.
Bryon found himself at the center of a media storm this week when the Mail published an investigation into his alleged participation in online fetish forums.
The newspaper reports – which have not been independently verified — included photos allegedly showing Bryon dressed in provocative outfits, while messages suggest he may have been interacting with adult performers online and spending significant sums of money.
One image reportedly obtained by the Mail allegedly shows Bryon dressed in pink hot pants and a tight, flesh-colored outfit.
According to the tabloid, Bryon allegedly communicated with women involved in the “bimbofication” fetish scene, where performers enhance their bodies — often using saline — to create a “Barbie doll”-like appearance.
Through a spokesperson, former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem responded to the situation, telling the New York Post: “Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time.”
The latest reports, published by People Magazine, claim that Bryon also claimed in the aforementioned chat forum that his wife had engaged in an alleged extramarital relationship with her adviser, former DHS aide Corey Lewandowski.
The Mail stated that they had spoken to three separate models for their report, with one claiming that she had asked Bryon – going under the pseudonym “Jason Jackson” – about the rumors concerning Lewandowski.
“I asked him about it and his response was, ‘I know. There’s nothing I can do about it,’ ” the woman is said to have told the Mail.
Kristi Noem was removed from her role as chief of the Department of Homeland Security in early March, following criticisms of her leadership and a series of congressional hearings.
As per People, both Kristi and Lewandowski have strongly refuted rumors of an affair. In one of said congressional hearings, Kristi was openly asked by Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove if she “had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski.”
Kristi replied: “I am shocked we’re going down and peddling tabloid garbage in this committee.”
Her husband, meanwhile, did not deny that he had engaged in online conversations, or that he had shared photos of himself dressed as a woman. Bryon did, however, tell the Mail that he had made no comments suggesting his wife had an affair, comments that “could have endangered national security by exposing her to the threat of blackmail.”
“Yeah, I made no comments like that, that would lead to that,” he said. “I deny the second part of that.”
Kristi and Bryon, who met in high school and married in 1992, have long presented a united front publicly. They share three children together and have remained in the spotlight due to Noem’s political career.
