Lawyer refuses to tip waiter – then buys him new teeth instead

It’s often said that it’s the little things in life that mean the most. And one small gesture from one person to another in the midst of business as usual shows that people still care about each other, even though it might not always seem that way.

One such inspiring act of kindness took place recently at a restaurant in Wichita, Kansas. And it not only changed the life of a waiter there—it also provides an example that can inspire us all.

Meet Brian. He’s a waiter at the Doo-Dah Diner. Among the restaurant’s regulars, Brian is known for loving his work and radiating optimism and joy. He always greets his customers a smile—even though his teeth caused him a lifetime of pain and embarrassment.

But despite the fact that his teeth didn’t look like he wanted to them, Brian always put on his best smile.

When lawyer Fred Boettcher visited the restaurant one day with his daughter, Brian served them. Fred was immediately struck by the waiter’s sunny personality and contagious smile. The friendly lawyer also noticed Brian’s teeth. He too had problems with his teeth as a child, and was well aware of what it did to his own self-esteem. So seeing how Brian treated other people was an incredible experience for Fred.

He immediately knew that he didn’t want to just leave a tip when he paid his bill. Instead, he had something much bigger in mind.

When Fred and his daughter finished eating, he went up to Brian and explained that he wasn’t leaving without giving the waiter new teeth—an operation that would cost Fred $25,000.

So what was Brian’s reaction? He was moved to tears.

Today, Brian remains everyone’s favorite waiter at the Doo-Dah Diner. As always, he delivers the best service with his big, infectious smile. The only difference is that he no longer gets toothaches, and doesn’t need to visit the dentist like he used to take care of his infections.

And it’s all thanks to a lawyer with a heart of gold. Check out Brian’s new teeth in the video below:

Events like this give me hope for humanity. There are still heroes out there, even if it sometimes doesn’t seem that way. You just have to find them—and spread their stories.

Please share this wonderful story with your loved ones. I think it will warm the hearts of many people!
