A man dubbed the “Living Nostradamus” has issued a warning for President Donald Trump concerning events yet to play out in 2026.
Athos Salomé, a so-called mystic, prophet, and influencer, is no stranger to making predictions that get people to sit up and take notice.
The 38-year-old has previously gone on record to state his belief that the British Royal Family will be stricken by a “major event”, possibly relating to the “health of a key member”, while also weighing in on the current trend of people taking weight loss drugs, as well as developments in artificial intelligence and what’s around the corner for Gen Z.
Perhaps it’s not such a surprise, then, that Donald Trump has found himself the subject of one of Salomé’s glimpses into the future.
As he no doubt intended, Trump is at the center of most major news stories dominating global headlines today. What his overbearance and erratic behavior may mean for the future of the US remains to be seen, but Salomé is predicting that Trump could be at risk of losing popularity.
The mystic is said to have told Tyla that there is a ‘high likelihood that the Republican Party will lose at least one chamber in November 2026’. Salomé also said that a “more energised Democratic base” will cause problems for Trump’s party, reasoning that through “falling presidential approval, a more energised Democratic base, a historical phenomenon of punishing governing parties through a midterm lens.”
“The mix puts the administration on their toes – and lights warnings across the Trump presidency,” Salomé said.
The 38-year-old also went on to foretell of “the return of power in executive orders.”
“With Congress withered, the administration may depend more on unilateral tools: executive orders, administrative regulations and pacts with allied governors,” he said.
Meanwhile, the focus of Trumpism in 2026 is to apparently revolve around three fronts: “Border security, trade warfare and open confrontation with what Trump calls ‘judicial activism’ and ‘federal bureaucracy’.
“That is a familiar formula that is exacerbated by an environment of legislative uncertainty,” Salomé said.
Despite the uncertainty facing the Republican party, the mystic said that Trump’s leadership will remain dominant for the time being.
“Yet, behind the curtain, unease is mounting as polling indicates severe midterm risks. This is ‘strategy, not rupture’ pressure. The party also needs Trump to galvanise the base – but is afraid of absorbing the electoral cost.”
