The final words of the 19-year-old Texas teen who disappeared on Christmas Eve have been revealed.
Camila Mendoza Olmos went missing having last been seen leaving her home in Caspian Spring, San Antonio at around 6:58am last Wednesday, December 24.
Authorities have said the teen was wearing baby blue pyjama bottoms, a baby blue and black hoodie and white shoes when she left the property. She reportedly disappeared one day after she’d made plans to go dress shopping with her best friend, Camila Estrella.
Footage captured on a neighbor’s home security camera showed a person standing outside Olmos’ car in the early hours of December 24. Bexar County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that individual as Olmos herself.
The search for the 19-year-old has garnered widespread attention. Over 100 people have been involved in the bid to locate her, while family members have reportedly driven 17 hours from California to Texas to join the search.
Relative Maribel Mendoza said: “It’s very stressful, we love her. We want her with us. We hope she comes back.”

In a statement, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said: “Camila’s mother stated that Camila normally goes for a morning walk; however, she became concerned when Camila did not return within a reasonable period of time.
“Video footage from that time shows an unknown individual, believed to be Camila, searching inside her vehicle for an unidentified item. Moments later, the footage ends. It is believed that she left the residence on foot, as her vehicle remained at the location.
“The only items known to be on her person are her car key and possibly her driver’s license.”
Olmos’ best friend Camila Estrella has now revealed what the teen’s final words – spoken to her last Tuesday as the pair made plans to look for an outfit – were.

Estrella told the New York Post: “She said, ‘Bye Cami, I love you’.
“She was someone that was just full of love, this is so random, we never expected this.”
Olmos’ mother, Rosario Olmos, told KSAT: “I called her cell phone, but the cell phone was there on the bed and it was turned off.”
“I put it to charge and went out to look for her. I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together.”
Police said that the 19-year-old is ‘possibly endangered’ in their missing person alert.
