Mom-to-be with coronavirus dies during labor, doctors fight to save newborn – help us send prayers

A mom-to-be who had coronavirus tragically died during labor at a hospital in London, England, but doctors fought to keep the baby alive.

According to reports in the Daily Mirror, it’s not clear if the woman had underlying medical issues – an investigation into her death has been launched.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Amid all the trauma being seen across maxed-out hospital wards by our NHS heroes, this tragedy has totally poleaxed staff.

“There is a huge sense of disbelief at the unfairness of this devastating death.

“Senior hospital workers were in tears. The only consolation is that the baby survived the mum’s death.”

British media say the baby is said to be making a recovery and has not been diagnosed with coronavirus. COVID-19, meanwhile, hasn’t been ruled out as the cause of the mom’s death.

The virus, which continues to sweep through countries around the world, has been responsible for more than 10,500 deaths in the U.S. alone. Last night, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to an ICU department after his condition worsened while in hospital.

Johnson tested positive for COVID-19 over a week ago and has suffered from persistent symptoms since then.

Tragedies like the one in this story simply make you question everything. This poor woman lost her life and now her baby will grow up without its mother. How bitterly cruel the world can be!

Help us send prayers for this little baby, in the hope that they make a full recovery and go on to lead a healthy and happy life. Amen.
