Mother’s fate revealed after daughter, 11, gives birth to stepfather’s baby without any medical assistance

The mother of an 11-year-old girl who gave birth to her stepfather’s baby at home without medical assistance has learned her fate.

In August 2025, authorities learned that an 11-year-old girl had delivered a baby inside her family’s home without any prenatal care or medical assistance. The incident came to light after hospital staff contacted police when the girl arrived at an Oklahoma hospital.

34-year-old Dustin Walker and 33-year-old Cherie Walker were accused of failing to give adequate supervision or medical care for their daughter, who court documents state was 36 weeks pregnant at the time.

“This child is traumatized”

Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson told media at the time that the parents were not aware of the pregnancy until August 16, when she gave birth.

Hutson told KOTV: “This child is traumatized.

“She’s been through a horrific ordeal. I mean, not only has somebody gotten her pregnant, but she gave birth at home without medical assistance, and this will be her life for the rest of her life.”

DNA testing later confirmed that Walker, the 11-year-old’s stepfather, was the father of the baby.

“This is one of the most, if not the most serious, child sexual abuse and neglect cases I have ever prosecuted,” Hutson said in another statement, according to VT.

Both pleaded guilty to felony charges

The parents have now learned their fate, with both receiving lengthy prison sentences for their roles in the abuse. Last week, 34-year-old Cherie was sentenced to seven consecutive life sentences for allowing her daughter to be sexually abused.

Public court records from Muskogee County, reviewed by PEOPLE, show that she was found guilty of all seven felony charges on July 17, 2026. Cherie pleaded guilty to all seven felony charges.

Dustin Walker also pleaded guilty to felony charges related to child sexual abuse and neglect. He has since received a life sentence for the sexual abuse charge, along with an additional 42 years in prison for child neglect.

Her grandmother was allegedly aware of the abuse

Court records also show that the parents faced five additional child neglect charges concerning their other children, who were aged 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9 at the time. The alleged neglect occurred over a period spanning January 1 to August 16, 2025.

Following the couple’s arrests, all five children were removed from the family home. They had reportedly been living in severely inadequate conditions described as “deplorable.”

The grandmother, Michelle Justus, was also implicated in the case. According to KJRH, prosecutors alleged that she was aware of the sexual abuse taking place in the home but failed to take action or report it to authorities.
