Teen kidnapped in front of her mother in the Bronx has been found safe

Update: Karol Sanchez, who was kidnapped in front of her mother around 11:20 p.m. on Monday, has been found safe.

According to police, the 16-year-old walked to a relative’s apartment building in the Bronx; however, more details on her safe return have not been released.

Police are asking for the public’s help after a 16-year-old girl was kidnapped in front of her mother in the Bronx, New York late Monday night.

Karol Sanchez and her mom were walking down the street around 11:20 p.m. when a beige four-door sedan pulled up alongside of them. Two of the four people inside the car exited the vehicle, grabbed Karol and shoved her mother to the ground.

Karol’s mother was not injured during the kidnapping.

Police are now looking for the 16-year-old and the four men, believed to be in their 20s. It is unclear if the victim knew the suspects.

Karol was last seen wearing a dark blue short jacket, white sweater, blue jeans and black sneakers. She is 5’5″ and 140 pounds.

The suspects were wearing dark clothing.
