Pregnant woman jumps into bloody waters to save husband just bitten by shark

A pregnant woman didn’t hesitate before jumping into the ocean to help her husband to safety after he was bitten by a shark.

Like a scene out of a horror movie the brave mom-to-be got into the blood-filled waters after her husband was bitten on the shoulder.

Atlanta couple Margot Dukes-Eddy and husband Andrew Eddy were vacationing in Florida Keys with their family and had spent the day relaxing on a private boat when the horror happened.

The boat had stopped and on seeing snorkelers in the water Andrew decided to jump in and join them.

Within seconds Margot saw a dorsal fin of a shark and then blood coming from her husband.

Andrew desperately tried to swim back to the boat but Margot saw the shark circling and without any hesitation got into the water to help her husband to safety.

“Next thing I know I see flailing and he’s screaming and there’s just all red blood,” Margot’s mom told Inside Edition. “He didn’t know if he could make it to the ladder and my pregnant daughter jumped in to save him.”

Paramedics were called and Andrew was airlifted to hospital.

“I saw it’s fin, and I saw it once but then it was swimming toward the boat,” Margot added.

Andrew was said to be in critical condition by the time rescuers got to him and was airlifted to a Miami hospital, where he was treated for serious shoulder injuries.

Nobody else was injured and other boaters reported seeing an 8 or 9-foot bull shark in the area earlier that day. Florida has the most unprovoked shark attacks in the world, according to Florida Museum.

This woman deserves a medal for doing what she did; without any hesitation she jumped in to save her husband and like all heroes is clearly unaware of the enormity of her actions.

Please share to pay tribute to this brave lady and send get well wishes to Andrew.
