Prince William has a special way of looking after Kate Middleton following her surgery, claims ex-butler

Prince William may be set to resume his royal duties now that Kate Middleton has been discharged from hospital, but he will also be doing his utmost to take care of his wife moving forward.

Kensington Palace confirmed yesterday that Kate had returned home following a 13-day stint at the London Clinic after undergoing abdominal surgery earlier this month.

Speculation regarding the gravity of Kate’s condition has been rampant over the past few days – helped in no small part due to the dearth of details on offer – but the fact that the Princess of Wales will continue her recovery from the comfort of her family’s Windsor home can only be seen as a positive.

“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress,” yesterday’s announcement from Kensington Palace read.

“The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

As stated, Kate’s recovery process means that the future queen will not be able to return to her official duties this side of Easter, and new reports have detailed just how her husband, Prince William, will be looking after her “hand and foot”.

We reported last week how William made sure he was by Kate’s bedside each day during her stay in hospital, and will continue to play the role of devoted partner now that she’s returned to Adelaide Cottage.

Speaking to the New York Post, one ex-royal butler, Grant Harrold, shed some light on the type of husband William is, as well as the role he plays at home.

“He’s a very caring, very loving kind of character and I noticed that a lot when I spent time with them both back in the day,” Harrold said.

“I’ve no doubt that wouldn’t have changed, William will make sure Kate is cared for and that she has a quick recovery.”

The former butler added: “The sooner her recovery, I’m sure the sooner the pair will get back to carrying out their royal duties together, which is something that I think they enjoy.

“I think they’ll be keen to get back to normal with it. There won’t be a huge team there on hand. It’ll be her husband who’ll mainly be doing that, helping her to get back onto her feet.”

I don’t know about you, but I love the relationship Prince William and Kate Middleton seem to share!
