Photographer Julie Willson has shot numerous children across her career. But her latest photo shoot just may be her most important – and finest – yet.
Four years ago, Julie’s sister Dina died. Julie was very attached to her sister and loved her fiercely. She called Dina “the best thing that could happen to their family.”
Dina had Down syndrome which gradually led to serious complications with her health. After her death, Julie decided she wanted to show others just how beautiful and special people with Down syndrome really are.
That’s when she began taking these beautiful photos of 11 young children with Down syndrome. As you’ll see, each and every one of them is as adorable and unique as can be!
Since publishing this photo project, Julie’s striking photos are being recognized and celebrated around the world. I don’t know about you, but I certainly understand why!
Newsner believes all children are unique and beautiful. Like and share Julie’s photos if you agree.
