Son receives his first salary – then chooses to pay off his parents’ home loan

To me, Christmas’s true message is about showing love and kindness to our loved ones. But Christmas has become more and more about gifts. I’m frankly not so fond of this trend — we consume so much already and there’s so much more to our needs than just physical things.

One 21-year-old son seems to understand just this — his Christmas gift to his parents is a perfect example of how love can truly be displayed.

21-year-old Pavin Smith prepared a letter for his family. The baseball player was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and upon signing his new contract, the young man became a millionaire overnight.

But Pavin did not react like many other young athletes who become millionaires. Instead of buying an expensive sports car or other flashy things, he decided to thank the people closest to his heart: his family.

In a heartwarming letter to his parents, he revealed his Christmas gift to them: “Thank you for raising me in a great home filled with love. Because of all the sacrifices you’ve made to get me where I am, I want our family home to be yours. ”

Yes, Pavin decided to pay off his parent’s entire loan on their house! Watch the moment Pavin announces his gift to his parents in the video below.

This 21-year-old gratitude and love for his parents really warmed my heart. Share to spread this true message of love!
