In the crisis we are in right now, every American must be prepared to make sacrifices. As the coronavirus spreads and death tolls increase, we must all make sure we do what we can to support our society and community.

Texas Roadhouse CEO Kent Taylor has announced that he is going to forego his salary and bonus pay period starting March 18 through Jan. 7.

The decision was in order to support employees struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to MarketWatch.com.

According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the steakhouse chain’s board of directors voted Tuesday to suspend the payment of quarterly cash dividends of the company’s common stock, effective with respect to dividends occurring after March 27, “to better manage its cash position and enhance financial flexibility in light of the uncertainty in the global markets resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak.”

According to Lousiana Business First, Taylor’s salary was $1.3 million in 2018.

This is a good story in the midst of VERY bad times. Bless him!

This CEO is a man of honor and one that cares more about his employees then himself. I take my hat off to you, Kent Taylor!

Thank you for setting the example! I hope other company leaders are inspired to do the same – share this article on Facebook if you agree!
